Here are some PHOTOS that I took at Tent Rocks. This park is located about half way between Santa Fe and Albuquerque New Mexico, a little ways west from I-25. The park gets its name from some tent (tee-pee) shaped formations. The park also features a beautiful slot canyon.

Here are some PHOTOS I took in Plaza Blanca near Santa Fe, NM in 2003. Plaza Blanca is a bit of a difficult place to find. The turn off from the main road is unmarked, and then you continue on to a dirt road on some private property to get to the trail head. You can look it up on Google Earth with latitude 36.233390 and longitude -106.301385.

Moab 1 of 3 – Canyon Lands

151012092002_Click HERE to get to the photos. I just got back from a trip to Moab, Utah. I went with a group of 29 plein air painters. Plein air is a French expression which means “in the open air” where you set up your easel outside to paint. A few of us in the group were not painters so we went off to hike or take photographs. The first few photos were taken while driving to Moab. There’s a lot of space between Fruita, Colorado and Moab, Utah. Make sure your gas tank is full and your bladder is empty. The bulk of the photos were taken at Dead Horse Point and Canyon Lands. We had great weather, blue sky and 80 degrees, though the blue sky isn’t the best for photography.
